Other ARM

The Association of Residents of Morzine (ARM) consists of families who own a second home in Morzine or a nearby town. There are four major aims or objectives of the Association namely:

 1) Enable Residents To Know and Meet Each Other:

The ARM regularly organizes activities for its members to meet and make friends. It organizes, tennis tournaments, golf tournaments, walks, picnics, barbecues, meals at Christmas and summer.  All events or activities are arranged and conducted in a spirit of good humour and friendliness.

 2) Actively Participate in the Life of Morzine:

The ARM meets regularly with the Mayor and Town Council members. It thus provides their views on the management of the municipality and the choices for future development. This contribution is made in an effort of support and openness coupled with an overall desire to preserve the charm and pleasure of Morzine.

 3) Ensure the Protection of Interests of Secondary Residents:

Secondary Residents are subject to the same local taxes, as well as permanent residents. It is therefore reasonable to expect that they get the same conditions for example, among other things, the prices of ski lifts. It is a point of fairness for which the ARM has campaigned for many years.

 4) Inform Residents:

By publishing a quarterly newsletter, our members are kept abreast of, not only the life and activity of the association, but also events and decisions that animate and guide the life Morzine.  Our General Assembly is also an opportunity for direct exchange with the Mayor and officials of the Municipality and the Office of Tourism, who regularly participate.

The ARM aims to make its actions effective and interesting to all its membership of nearly 300.

As a matter of interest there are currently 2,500 homes in Morzine.
